Sephora Samples

This is just my week in the beauty products department, it seems. I was walking into the apartment and almost tripped on my glorious delivery from Sephora!
Don't mind me, just got off work.
Now, the only thing I paid for is not pictured, and is actually a gift for my mum. I got her bareMinerals The Star Treatment, since it's her favorite brand and she hasn't gotten anything new in a while. I'm such a good daughter, huh?

Anyways, I got (from L to R in the picture) Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum, Make Up Forever HD Primer, Sephora Super Supreme Body Butter in Lusty Pleasure, and Lady Gaga's Fame Black Fluid.

Truthfully, I'm not a big perfume person, but the fact that the liquid is black really intrigues me, so I just had to try it.

I'll have reviews up soon!

One Natural Cucumber Aloe Calming Mask

L to R ;; One Natural Cucumber Aloe Calming Mask, Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream, One Sun Drenched Lemon Sugar Scrub

Alright guys, it's that time again -- review time! This time, it's a product I have never even heard of before, let alone used. It's a face sheet/mask! I've never used one before simply because my face is so small. These things could fit two of me in there. Seriously, it's like a giant, weird, face shaped blanket. Sigh, the disadvantages to being petite. Anyways, I needed more body scrub for my quest in finding the ultimate body scrub, and lo and behold, I discover One Bath and Body! One is a completely natural line of bath and body products that contain no plastic, no parabens, come in recyclable containers, and is cruelty free!

Wow, don't mind me, I'm awfully wordy tonight!

So, with any purchase of One products over $10 at Ulta, you get a free Cucumber Aloe Calming Mask. And as you all know from previous posts, I can NOT resist a special. So, I gave in (I was there shopping for Christmas gifts! Augh!) and bought me the body scrub, the lemon butter cuticle cream -- it came with chapstick, too, yay! -- and some body butter for my grandmother for Christmas, and picked up this little beauty that was just sitting on my face.

Me and all my fresh-faced glory! Pre-mask
So, as directed, I washed and dried my face, and pulled this thing out of the package. Now, to me, it was MASSIVE. I mean, this thing was bloody huge. I managed to put it on my face, and set the timer. In fact, I just removed it.

There was a bit of tingling at first, so I'm not sure if that's normal with face masks. It kept slipping, but that was to be expected considering it was 3x the size of my face. I left it on for the full 20 minutes, and let me tell you, my face feels great! It feels cool, refreshed, and hydrated, which is awesome.  This mask is definitely a great little treat, considering my wallet and the price don't agree for every day use. Plus, if you take a survey on their website and send them proof of purchase, you get a free lip balm!

Would I repurchase it? ;; Yes
Where you can buy it ;; Target, Ulta, One Bath and Body
Normal Price ;; $1.99 - $2.49

Polaris Benefit Brow Bar Launch Party

Live in the Columbus, OH area? Free this Saturday? Well do I have news for you, then! The Fashion Place in Polaris is opening up their Brow Bar inside of Macy's Impulse Beauty! Join them this Saturday, December 8th, for a complimentary brow mapping and waxing (by appointment only, call them for details and openings).

Not only that, but Benefit cosmetics will be offering beverages, snacks, and yes, best of all, free samples! I believe there is also a free gift with any $35 purchase of Benefit products, if not just more free samples -- truth be told, I was sold on coming and was already booking my free appointment, as well as getting their card for a free waxing on my birthday, so I wasn't fully paying attention. But hey, it's the perfect time for me to pick up some moisturizer or more makeup.

I'm super excited, as I need my brows done, bad, so this is the perfect opportunity to get them done for free.
Call 614-880-6325 for full information and to book your appointment today.

And this is why you can't take me anywhere.

So, I mentioned today that I had to go to the drugstore today, since I was running low on cotton pads for my astringent and toner. I fully regret going by myself, because Drug Mart was having a clearance sale on makeup. And as you get to know me, I can barely control myself when it comes to sales of any sort. Ahaha. It's a good thing I went to work right afterwards, otherwise I would be broke at the moment.

Wet n Wild MegaProtein mascara in Very Black
I picked this little gem up for $.99. I have Wet n Wild MegaVolume mascara, and adore it as far as cheap mascaras go, so I'm hoping that I'll enjoy this one as well.
Normal Price ;; $.199

Wet n Wild Coverall Stick in Very Pale
Another Wet n Wild product. While this isn't going to be in my every day makeup, it works well for what it'll be used for -- cosplay lip cover. Paid $1.49 for this guy.
Normal Price ;; $1.99

Covergirl Outlast Lip Duo in Red Cashmere
I think this was the most expensive item I bought, at $3.99. I need a new lip color, since the only one I have left is a Revlon Just Bitten in Frenzy -- truthfully, the Revlon just isn't a good everyday color on me. I plan on trying it out tomorrow, so I'll let you know everything then.
Normal Price ;; $7.99
Milani Nail Lacquer in Garnet Gems
Nail polish is a huge weakness of mine. My sister got me into it, and it's helped me get out of the nasty habit of chewing my nails up. At $1.74, I couldn't help myself, I mean, look at it. It's gorgeous.
Normal Price ;; $3.29

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Midnight in NY
My last purchase of the day, a complete steal for $.99. I haven't had a decent black nail polish in a while, so we'll see how this one works.
Normal Price ;; $4.99

Cosplay Get List 01

Illamasqua Lipstick in Pristine ;; $24.00
Ben Nye White Mascara ;; $9.00
White Mesh Contact Lenses ;; $24.78
Red Contact Lenses ;; $39.99
Fyrinnae Callipygian Loose Eye Shadow ;; $6.25
e.l.f Studio Concealer ;; $3.00
Dinair Airbrush Makeup Kit and Fantasy Makeup ;; $129.75 + $40.00
Illamasqua False Eyelashes ;; $12.00

So, I have a lot of upcoming cosplays planned, two of which have difficult or time consuming makeup. There is, of course, my Prussia from Hetalia cosplay, of which I need new contacts for, as well as white mascara to finish the albinism look completely. I also need a new stick concealer for my lips, since mine ran out. At the same con I'm redoing this one, I'm doing Ib from Ib, which means I can reuse the red contacts. These aren't actually a necessity, I just feel like I need a new pair. I've had mine for a while, and you're only supposed to have them so long -- oops!

Then, there is Porrim Maryam from Homestuck. If you know anything about that, let's just say her skin is gray, she has crazy tattoos, and white eyes. That one, I know, is going to be a pain to put on and such. It even requires the purchase of an airbrushing kit! Something I have zero experience with, so I'm super nervous about that.

Do any of you cosplay? If so, what tips do you have for cosplay makeup, or airbrushing -- if any?
